A Withered Grass Blossoms Toward the Sun

While bathing at home, Xiaocao is caught in the act by Erzhu, and in a fury, she kicks him out. Aunt Trumpet happens to pass by and sees this, sparking rumors that spread through the village, claiming Xiaocao and Erzhu are having an affair. As a result, Erzhu marries Xiaocao. After the wedding, Erzhu's family treats Xiaocao terribly, especially his sister Fengxia, who goes out of her way to cause trouble. Xiaocao endures constant bullying, but Junsheng, Erzhu's brother, has always had a soft spot for her.
