The Dream Painter

In 1930s Shanghai, Jiang Xinyu (Tang Shiyi), the chief accountant of a major bank, is framed for a massive deficit on the eve of her promotion. With only ten days to make up the loss, she must resort to a risky plan. She teams up with Xu Yanzhen (Dai Luwa), a reclusive painter with extraordinary skills, to forge a national treasure painting that the bank intends to sell to foreigners at a low price. Together, they navigate a web of intrigue, outwitting various forces to save themselves and prevent the national treasure from leaving the country.
