An innocent father (Sam Worthington) is sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his own son, but when he receives evidence that his child may still be alive, he must break out of prison to uncover the truth. Britt Lower plays the father's sister-in-law, journalist Rachel, whose life has fallen apart after being fired and who sees this case as her chance to make a comeback; Milo Ventimiglia will play Hayden, the scion of a prominent family and Rachel's ex-boyfriend.
