In the ethereal city of Huanhai, Xia Dongqing (Liu Zhiyang) and Ya (Xiao Yin) run the 444 convenience store, which shifts between day and night. They team up with a new partner, a 'night watchman' who bears a striking resemblance to the missing Zhao Li (Yu Yi), to guard the balance between the human and spirit worlds. The trio resolves numerous supernatural incidents in their daily lives, but an unexpected event shatters the peace... When a red moon hangs in the sky, they thwart a sinister plot and return to reality. Huanhai City regains its tranquility, and the 444 store continues its business, yet new strange tales quietly sprout along the cobblestone paths.
