Set in the bustling yet complex Ikebukuro district of Tokyo, the Nishikebukuro Police Station establishes a new Crime Victim Support Office, where officers provide close support to victims and bereaved families of various cases, helping them face life anew. Kuroki Natsumi (played by Koike Eiko), a former detective, is able to empathize with victims on equal footing, while psychologist Eriko Shiraishi (played by Kita Kana) joins as a dispatched support worker, possessing professional knowledge but struggling with interpersonal communication. These two contrasting individuals, each carrying their own inner wounds, form a partnership, supporting each other in a department without standard answers as they confront the pain of victims.
