The Revenge of Kobikicho

Based on the novel by Sayako Nagai, this period drama is set against the backdrop of a sensational incident in Edo's Kabuki district. On a snowy night, a beautiful young man named Kikunosuke successfully carries out his revenge near the kabuki theater. The event, witnessed by many, becomes a tale of admiration, but a year and a half later, a samurai named Soichiro Kase, claiming to be Kikunosuke's relative, visits the theater and asks to know the full story of the revenge. As testimonies from those involved gradually reveal the truth, the secrets hidden behind the revenge come to light.
