The Mist

In 1954, a 15-year-old girl, upon hearing that her brother was executed in Taipei, takes a train alone from Chiayi to Taipei, determined to bring him home at any cost. Naive and new to the city, she is unexpectedly rescued by a homesick rickshaw driver from Guangdong who cannot return to his hometown. Two strangers, bound by fate, become companions in adversity, embarking on a life-risking journey to raise the money to retrieve her brother's body.
