It's Okay If You're Not Loved

This film is a youthful escape story centered on university student Miyata Hiiro (played by Minami Sara). Hiiro juggles school while working part-time jobs and doing household chores from morning till night. Although her mother never resorts to violence, Hiiro is bound by the love her mother professes, living in a gentle yet suffocating despair and a sense of loss in life. She regularly sends money to her mother and takes care of her, yet never feels true freedom or happiness. One day, Hiiro encounters her classmate Enaga Miyabi (played by Baba Fumika) at her workplace. This meeting quietly changes the course of Hiiro's life.
