The Showdown

When a medical university is exposed for deliberately lowering female applicants' exam scores, newspaper reporter Hinoki Kano (Matsumoto Wakana) launches an independent investigation, zeroing in on university board member Kanbayashi Harumi (Suzuki Honami). Kanbayashi deftly dodges her questions, but Hinoki is convinced she holds the key and closes in on the truth. In a male-dominated society, these two women, each carrying their own convictions and scars, clash head-on in a confrontation that takes an unexpected turn. A socially conscious entertainment piece depicting women rising up against injustice in their pursuit of happiness.
