Han Jie (played by Ko Chen-tung), burdened by an irreparable mistake from his childhood, becomes the mortal vessel of the Third Prince (played by Wang Po-chieh), serving the deity to atone for his sins. His duty: to handle restless spirits and supernatural occurrences lingering in the human world. Through a series of ghostly missions, he crosses paths with the naive and optimistic college student Ye Zi (played by Chen Yen-fei) and teams up with刑警 Zhang Min (played by Yang Ming-wei), who possesses the gift of yin-yang eyes. Together, they unravel the hidden undercurrents of the otherworld lurking in the city's shadows. As their investigations deepen, they discover that these seemingly random paranormal events are all connected to the mysterious arch-villain Liu Fan. Liu Fan secretly manipulates the cult leader Chen Qi-sha (played by Chen Yi-wen) and further recruits the heinous murderer Wu Tian-ji (played by Hsueh Shih-ling) as his new divine medium, causing the boundary between the human and spirit worlds to crumble. As forces of good and evil clash, Han Jie must not only confront more powerful foes but also make a choice between atonement, faith, and his own will. Is destiny predetermined, or can it be rewritten? This series is adapted from Xing Zi's bestselling novel of the same name.
