In 1990s Beijing, the Winter Ends, Spring Comes Inn witnessed the ups and downs of a group of young men and women from all over the country chasing their dreams in the capital. Xu Shengli, obsessed with scriptwriting but constantly rejected, keeps trying despite failures; Zhuang Zhuang, a singer yearning for the elegant stage, can only survive by performing at commercial gigs; Shen Ranran, hoping to land leading roles, faces opportunities and choices in the glamorous entertainment world; Tao Liangliang, a talented saxophonist, plays for passersby under the overpass to realize his musical dream; Guo Zongbao, a passionate extra, works odd jobs tirelessly to pay for his wife's and child's medical bills; Cao Ye, an artist eager to make a splash, is full of avant-garde ideas but understood by no one. They strive hard for their dreams, but reality is always cruel and helpless. Crossing the millennium into a new era, some still hold on, some are forced to give up, but the flame of art in their hearts never goes out.
