A severe cold wave sweeps the world, and Lin Yan leads everyone to retreat to a shelter in a mountain hollow. Supplies are scarce and illness is rampant, while fleeing survivors keep coming for help, forcing her to struggle between humanitarianism and the bottom line of survival. Chen Ye insists on going out to search for supplies, and the two repeatedly clash. After a power-outage crisis and an influenza panic, a signal from a distant shelter comes over the radio late one night. Having endured the long winter, when spring arrives, the exploration team sets out on its journey—guarding the spark of survival amid desperate circumstances.
