In the Nanshan Hollow, the locust blossoms have bloomed for thirty years. Uncle Huai the beekeeper tends a whole gully of hives, making honey that's sweet as anything—but has no buyers. His granddaughter Huaimi works in e-commerce in the city, but she quits her job and comes home to help her grandpa sell real locust-blossom honey. Old Ba, a dealer, wants to buy the honey cheap, cut it with fakes, and resell it—and Uncle Huai turns him down flat. Huaimi starts livestreaming, then goes head-to-head with adulterated honey at the town's local specialties contest, letting a single spoonful of the real thing melt in front of millions of viewers. The old hives, the old honey extractor, and that whole gully of locust blossoms all turn sweet again this summer.
