Bitter Love in Bloom

Dashan, a poor man from a humble background, saves Qiuju by chance when she falls and injures herself while gathering herbs on the mountain. From then on, Qiuju's heart is captured by this strong, helpful, and rugged man, and she develops a crush on him, inquiring about him everywhere. Dashan, however, doesn't take it to heart and goes on blind dates arranged by the village matchmaker, Wang. Blinded by greed, Wang introduces him to women who are either disabled or simple-minded, and eventually demands that he become a live-in son-in-law. Just as Dashan is at a loss, Qiuju, led by her cousin Zhang Xiaoya, arrives at his home. Understanding his poverty, she willingly agrees to marry him.
