Once Upon a Time in Foshan: The Witchcraft Curse
In the late Qing Dynasty, Foshan martial arts master Wong Fei-hung, haunted by a nightmare, senses that journalist Mo Shisan is in danger. He leads his disciples to the ancient village of Guyun, where the Centipede Cult uses sorcery to coerce villagers into sacrificing children. Mo Shisan, investigating the truth, is captured and infected with a soul-devouring curse. Wong Fei-hung storms the altar to save her but, unwilling to harm the bewitched villagers, falls victim to the poison himself. He is secretly aided by Ghost Foot Seven, an undercover agent within the cult. Together, they break the water-borne curse, heal the villagers, and Ghost Foot Seven recovers and becomes Wong's disciple. After the sorcerer immolates himself, clues point to the Japanese Club in Guangzhou. Wong infiltrates the club, rescues the abducted children, and confronts its leader, Hattori Ichiro, only to learn the true mastermind is the Western vampire Michael. Michael spreads a plague to wreak havoc on the city, threatening Mo Shisan's life. In a desperate struggle, Wong integrates his leg techniques and realizes the Foshan Shadowless Kick, slaying Michael. The curses are lifted, the people regain their senses, Guangzhou returns to peace, and Po Chi Lam resumes its bustling daily life.
