Don't Date a Broke College Guy

Actress Shen Xicheng, to avoid an arranged marriage with a wealthy family, coerces impoverished college student Zhou Heyu into a contract marriage by leveraging a case involving her adoptive father. They start off using each other and misunderstanding each other, but gradually develop feelings as they tackle crises like obsessive fans and workplace harassment. However, they are forced apart by the bankruptcy of Shen's family and the feud between the Zhou and Shen families, leaving Shen Xicheng to bear a huge debt alone. Two years later, Zhou Heyu rises to become the heir of a Hong Kong tycoon, overcoming family hatred and past misunderstandings to repeatedly protect Shen Xicheng. In the end, they resolve all their issues and get engaged romantically at the Hong Kong Film Festival, finally becoming a couple.
