The Mystery of Jiangyun Town

In Republican-era Jiangyun Town, a tofu shop owner dies a bizarre death, and a little girl sees her deceased mother appear in a red sedan chair. A down-and-out detective is assigned to the case and discovers that the first wife, who was supposed to be drowned in a pig cage, has returned from the dead, disguised as a spirit medium seeking revenge, and also uncovers a smuggling ring of opium within the wealthy family.
