The South-Facing Bedroom
Su Wan, a 26-year-old illustrator, is trapped by depression in her rental apartment piled with takeout boxes. She can't draw, has lost her clients, and lives like an invisible person. Her mother, Wang Xiulan, worries about her but can't be there for her, so she asks her old village sister, Liu Guihua, to go to the city and take care of her. Su Wan thinks a savior has arrived, but what comes is a 'bandit'—Liu Guihua barges in and takes over the south-facing master bedroom, casually throws away the draft Su Wan spent three months drawing, secretly uses her expensive essence, and brings a bunch of strangers to play cards in the living room. The worst part is, when Su Wan finally manages to schedule a video call to discuss a collaboration, Liu Guihua deliberately turns the TV volume up to the max.
