Björn Diemel's life seems to be perfectly under control: he has internalized the principles of mindfulness, quit his high-stress job as a criminal defense lawyer, and started his own company. He spends more time with his daughter Emily, argues more rationally with his soon-to-be ex-wife Katharina, and has taken on an unusual role: he is the legal representative for two mafia families, whose bosses he has cleverly made disappear. Yet, despite the seemingly harmonious life, Björn is plagued by inner turmoil and a sense of losing control. Why can't he just enjoy it all? It's the inner child! As his mindfulness coach, Joschka Breitner, explains, the old wounds and unresolved conflicts from Björn's childhood affect him far more deeply than he realizes. As Björn works to heal these wounds and make peace with his past, he also has to deal with annoying helicopter parents, police investigators, blackmail, and a never-ending stream of life's challenges. In the end, Björn realizes that his inner journey not only brings emotional clarity but also has real-world implications for his shady activities.
