The Sorrow of Lune

High school girl Runa Gota lives as the child of the Fire God, running an acupuncture clinic with her grandmother and using moxibustion infused with her own blood to run a so-called self-realization business for believers, which leads to her being ostracized at school as a religious figure. Her only confidant is her childhood friend Subaru. One day, Runa is saved from bullying by the popular boy Kensho and falls in love with him, but the divine child's prohibition on romance plunges her into turmoil. After a failed confession, Runa, physically and mentally broken, believes she has been toyed with and resolves to drag Kensho into her believer business as revenge. The story not only depicts the girl's twisted yet pure first love but also gradually moves toward a more brutal social chapter, unfolding a human suspense drama of love, religion, and revenge.
