Trevor Bentley (Rowan Atkinson), who last time in "Man vs. Bee" looked after a high-tech mansion only to have it descend into chaos thanks to a pesky insect, has now left the high-pressure world of house-sitting to work as a school caretaker, enjoying a quieter life. But when a lucrative job opportunity arises to look after a luxurious penthouse apartment in London over Christmas, the temptation is too hard to resist. However, on the last day of term, no one comes to pick up the baby Jesus from the school nativity play, and Trevor finds himself with an unexpected little companion. Now he has to look after the penthouse and a baby—can Trevor still enjoy the peaceful Christmas he hoped for, or will the festive season descend into utter chaos?
