Blue Moon

Laurenz was once the top lyricist on Broadway, but his career plummeted after he split with Richard. On the opening night of his former partner's new work, he graciously offers congratulations, yet old grudges resurface and the evening ends in discord. He turns to his close friend Elizabeth for solace, only to wonder if their friendship is merely wishful thinking on his part. The grand party mirrors the Broadway of today, where he no longer belongs. After tonight, the golden age of American musicals is about to unfold, but his heyday will never return. As the final song, "Blue Moon," plays, even if it's the swan song, he must sing it with abandon.
