BORDERLESS: The Wide-Area Mobile Investigation Unit

Non-career detective Momoko Tsuchiya (Tao Tsuchiya) and rookie detective Rei Kizawa (Shori Sato) are members of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police's Mobile Investigation Unit, a special division that drives a multi-purpose investigation truck to solve cases across regions. When cases span multiple jurisdictions, conflicts often arise between the metropolitan police and local forces over authority, and the Mobile Investigation Unit was established to break through such barriers. Impulsive and straightforward Momoko, along with hot-blooded rookie Rei, who was transferred after a mistake, ride the 'Ichibanboshi' investigation truck with their teammates to chase the truth at scenes across the country. Through successive wide-area investigations, the two gradually grow and slowly uncover the hidden pasts they each carry.
