A Heart Finds Its Home

After her handsome husband's sudden death, Xiuli finds herself drawn to Youwei, a capable man from her village. Her father-in-law fiercely opposes the match and tries to force her to marry Laifu, a man with the mind of a child. Xiuli refuses to comply. Youwei plans to take her away, secretly using his family's savings to buy train tickets. When her father-in-law senses something amiss, he tears up the tickets while Xiuli is cooking and locks her inside the house. Youwei waits at their meeting spot until late into the night, and when she doesn't show, he assumes she's changed her mind. He turns back to find her, and on the way, he hears Xiuli's cries for help.
