A Hidden Talent from the Wilds

"A Hidden Talent from the Wilds" tells the story of Dong Youcai, a rural youth raised by his aunt Li Cuihua. Gifted and once ranked third in the county's exams, he was forced to give up college due to poverty, leaving a lifelong regret. Unwilling to farm, he becomes obsessed with singing, yet is mocked by villagers as "idle," and bullied by the local ruffian Wang Ergou. Eventually, Dong Youcai takes the stage of a talent show, stunning the audience and winning the championship.
