The Call from 1949

A call across time pulls him into the trenches of a battle in 1949. There he meets 19-year-old signalman Dong Xiaoliu—who has lost his family, yet wholeheartedly longs for a new China, and entrusts Yu Yong to protect this country. Waking with a start, Yu Yong has a realization and turns in his bank card. Years later, he pays his respects, determined to pass this faith on to the next generation.
