Tang's Rustic Homecoming

Su Wantang, the legitimate daughter of a marquis manor, grows weary of the scheming and intrigue in the inner courtyards of noble households. She resolutely casts aside her life of luxury and fine silks, bids farewell to the manor, and heads to the mountains and countryside to settle down. When she first arrives at Qingxi Village, she must face a dilapidated old house, natural disasters, the suspicions of villagers, and gossip. Yet she remains unyielding, clearing land and farming with her own hands while studying a craft to make pickled vegetables to earn a living. Along the way, she meets Lu Yan, a kindred spirit. The two support each other, work together to resolve business crises, and treat their neighbors with sincerity. Facing the ties of her old mansion in the capital, Su Wantang reconciles with her past inner conflicts. She does not cling to vanity but stays true to herself, finding warmth and stability amid the rustic bustle, and living a free and easy life of her own.
