The Obedient Villain

After binding myself to a mission system meant to help others undergo emotional shifts, I kept guiding my target toward gloom, yet he remained gentle and forgiving. No matter what I did, he met it with tolerance; when friends and family caused trouble, he only calmly and properly settled things, never harboring resentment. I never managed to complete the assigned mission, so I decided to leave the mission world and use the disturbances caused by others as a chance to slip away. I successfully returned to a peaceful life in reality. After a week of quiet days, the system suddenly sent a notification that the mission was accomplished—and came to beg me to return to the original world to comfort the one whose heart had fallen out of balance.
