Don't Mess with My Grandson

When summer vacation ends, rural grandmother Li Yuzhen brings her grandson Chang Tuantuan to the city to start kindergarten. But disaster strikes when Tuantuan is bitten by a dog and left fighting for his life. To save him, Li Yuzhen knocks the dog unconscious. The dog's owner turns out to be Tuantuan's stepmother, Ruan Yingying, who not only demands Li Yuzhen pay with her life for the "Japanese dog," but even sneers that the child would be better off dead—delaying Tuantuan's treatment. Later, Ruan Yingying refuses to pay the medical bills and threatens to have her wealthy husband settle everything. Unable to reach her son Chang Boji, Li Yuzhen has no choice but to call Tuantuan's biological mother, Sheng Qingtian—only for Ruan Yingying to publicly humiliate her. When Chang Boji finally arrives, he first scolds his first wife; but once he sees that the injured child is his own son, he flies into a rage and throws Ruan Yingying out of the house.
