Back to the Soil, Green Anew

Han Ping, a young man who returns to his village to cultivate a vegetable garden, makes his living selling produce online. Grounded and hardworking, he's also prone to rushing for quick results—and one botched harvest sends him spiraling into frustration. His mother, Chen Guilan, sets him straight with plain, homespun wisdom. Then his childhood friend Zhou Ye comes home to go into agricultural distribution, bringing both opportunity and a clash of outlooks. Pulled between family and friendship, Han Ping confronts his gains and losses head-on, learning to slow down, to settle into himself amid the everyday warmth of village life, and to grasp the fine line between getting things done and being a decent person.
