White Cotton Over the Slopes

In the early spring of Yunling Village, Shen Mian takes over the family's south-slope cotton field, and together with Shen Ning, He Chuan, and the villagers, carefully selects seeds, sprouts them, and prepares the soil for planting. As the seasons turn, everyone tends the cotton seedlings with care according to the soil and the plants' growth, from thinning and hilling to channeling water and protecting the fields, then to picking and sun-drying the cotton, ginning and saving seeds—every step is steady and orderly. Through the shared farm work, Shen Mian also gains experience, letting snow-white cotton fill the slopes and weaving hard work and wisdom into village life, as one good cotton season brings a harvest across the ridges.
