Tolerance Is Not Indulgence

After his startup fails, Jiang Yichen fears his mother's punishment, so he and his wife Shen Chenglin stage an accidental fall down the stairs, with him pretending to be in a vegetative state. His mother notices Shen Chenglin acting strangely and mistakenly believes she is hiding another man, so she prepares to catch her in the act. To her shock, the supposed other man is Jiang Yichen himself. The truth is exposed, and Wen Shuwan flies into a rage. She strips her son of all his positions and orders him to start from the bottom. Unexpectedly, this seemingly punitive arrangement accidentally uncovers a shocking secret at the group's Northeast branch and drags a series of power-for-money deals and benefit transfers into the light. In the end, it becomes an opportunity for Xinglan Group to clean house and strengthen its foundation, and it also forces Jiang Yichen to truly begin growing through adversity.
