Set in London at Christmas, Black Doves is a sharp and poignant action drama about friendship and sacrifice. The series follows Helen Webb (Keira Knightley), a witty, pragmatic, and devoted wife and mother who is also a professional spy. For ten years, she has been passing her politician husband's secrets to the mysterious organization she works for: the Black Doves. When her secret lover Jason (Andrew Koji) is assassinated, her spy boss, the enigmatic Reed (Sarah Lancashire), assigns her old friend Sam (Ben Whishaw) to protect her. Together, Helen and Sam launch an investigation to find out who killed Jason and why. Their inquiry gradually uncovers a vast and intricate conspiracy that links London's dark underworld to an imminent geopolitical crisis.
