Riding the Wind

This is the story of Xi Meng, a prodigious young painter of the Song Dynasty, and his journey of growth alongside Emperor Huizong as they together create the masterpiece 'A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains.' In the Imperial Painting Academy, Xi Meng stands shoulder to shoulder with the guard Aji in life-and-death trials; in a secret chamber, he humbly learns from a mentor he has never met face to face; and at court, he boldly questions Emperor Huizong's governance. When these three figures—teacher, friend, and foe—merge into one, Xi Meng, torn by inner conflict, finds reconciliation and immerses himself in the painting, leaving behind a stroke of verdant green that shakes the world.
