Ah Long

Ah Long (played by Ronald Cheng) lives hand-to-mouth with his eight-year-old daughter Ying Ying (played by Fu Shunying), burdened by his ex-wife's gambling debts. Despite his struggles, he remains optimistic and never complains, believing that good deeds are rewarded. After finally paying off his debts, he decides to take his daughter on a trip to Thailand, only for Ying Ying to be kidnapped by a trafficking ring. Devastated by the loss of his only family, Ah Long abandons his former beliefs and even remarries a Thai-Chinese woman, Ah Lan (played by Chrissie Chau), just to stay in Thailand. For two years, he secretly investigates the trafficking ring, transforming into a vengeful figure with blood on his hands. Will he rediscover his former kindness and attain enlightenment, or will he descend into an irredeemable hell of hatred?
