Orphaned Lin Mengting lives with her grandmother. After her grandmother dies, she follows her last wish and seeks out a distant cousin-uncle. On the way, all her belongings and the address are stolen, and she wanders until she finds his home. Living under someone else's roof, she endures constant cold treatment, and finally resolves to leave and make her own way. The next day, she happens upon Gu Zhenshan suddenly falling ill in the park. She steps in to rescue him and escorts the old man to the hospital. In their panic, Gu Zhenshan's children mistake her for the person who caused the incident and call the police; fortunately, after Gu Zhenshan wakes up, he clears up the misunderstanding. Taking pity on the girl—alone, helpless, and kind-hearted—he brings her back to the Gu home, cares for her attentively, and sends her back to school. After enduring hardship, Lin Mengting finally reaches a warm and fulfilling ending, proving that good people are ultimately blessed.
